Travel
Oka Park

How far would you go for fun? Believe it or not it can be just around the corner! Only a 30 minute drive from Kingsdale is Oka Park. A national park and campground That’s fun in all four seasons. Oka is the perfect place for a weekend trip or for a family BBQ on the beach. Oka Park has lots of fun attractions and activities. You can hike with the family on one of the parks many trails. You can go swimming in the lake or even jump on the all new “Wibbit” water structure/obstacle course at Oka’s beach. Just a few years ago a new playground was built on Oka’s beach and it’s huge! There is also a smaller park beside the camp store where you can buy souvenirs and marshmallows! Also near the camp store at night they play movies outside after dark. If you do not own any camping tents or trailer you can rent one of Oka’s many “hutopia” tents! They have a sink, dishes, 2 beds and a heater!!! If you are not looking to stay the night you can also go to the beach for the day, but don’t forget to stop by the ice cream shop and the boat rentals. There are many other things to do at Oka Park. We hope this article has inspired you to visit sometime soon!!!

Celebrity of the Month
Louis Tomlinson

The newest singer from the music industry, Louis Tomlinson, is from the old band “One Direction”. We recommend his new single “Back to you “clean version. We like this song because it has an amazing tune and tells us about what’s happening in his personal life.

  • 1 cup of polenta

  • 3 tablespoons of butter, divided

  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, plus more for garnish

Directions:

  1. Bring water and salt to boil in a large saucepan, pour polenta slowly into boiling water, whisking constantly until all polenta is stirred in and there are no lumps.
